beyond massage

Jenny holds a double B.A. from Prescott College in Adventure Education and Agroecology.

Before working as a massage therapist, Jenny spent nearly a decade living and working in the outdoors for adventure and wilderness therapy programs including Outward Bound.

She likes to play outdoors, especially skiing, mountain biking, running and whitewater canoing.  Jenny also enjoys travel, music, art,  reading and writing, and spending time with family and friends.

Since her teenage years, Jenny has been on a journey getting to know the self through regular contemplative practice including meditation, yoga, sweat lodges, chanting, study, and connecting with the natural world.  She continually practices being in the present moment and works to connect compassionately with others and understand the nature of being human.

Neuromuscular tecnhiques include myofacial work, trigger point therapy, cyriax cross-fiber friction, and other specialized techniques to manage pain, treat  injuries, and transform the body.

Asian techniques include Shiatsu and Chinese medicine perspectives.  Meridian work is generally integrated into every session for a powerfully healing and balancing treatment.

Jenny is preparing to begin acupuncture school this coming fall 2010 and looks forward to integrating more Asian techniques into her practice and eventually offering acupuncture treatments.

greening massage

Jenny is making green decisions for Bozeman Massage Therapy LLC.  Printed materials  are made by a locally-based company that uses wind power, soy ink, and unbleached recycled paper.

Essential oils are organic or wildcrafted and regionally distilled whenever possible.   Jenny chooses to order from companies initiating ecologically sustainable projects and those that enhance the communities in which the growers and distillers live.

Renovations for the new space at 238 E. Main Street include non-toxic and environmentally friendly cork floors and clay-based paint on the walls and ceilings.  The new space design includes local artwork and live plants.  Bozeman Massage Therapy LLC recycles.  Jenny seeks ways to green her business and promotes a peaceful, healthy world for all.
